Department of the Year

Posted by Andrew Smith on February 28, 2008

The final award of the evening was presented to the department who had showed most strength in depth, by having finallists and winners in most categories. This was presented by Karen Roy, Head of Business Development at Phlexglobal. She likened this category to “Best Picture”at the Oscars.

By analysing the placings throughout the evening, the award went to Chiltern International, who had winners in two categories. Linda Christmas of Chiltern stepped up to receive the award. She said she was delighted and thanked her team, their clients and everyone involved in the effort.

Sean thanked the event sponsors and his team that made the awards dinner an excellent evening, and ended the ceremony as he’d begun it, by asking all the finallists to stand up to take our plentiful applause.

This brought an end to the evening’s formal activites… and that’s when the party commenced. Perhaps not always known for their dancing, the clinical research industry showed their lighter side by partying long into the night.

This ends the live reporting for the CRfocus blog, but look out for a printed version of this report, along with photos of the winners, in the April issue of CRfocus.
